Importance Of Upholding Christian Principles At Workplace

 

One of the greatest challenges experienced most of the time at work place is secularism. The world today is infiltrated to a great margin by secularism, and this is evident in almost every sector. This to a great extend has a negative effect not only on the employer and the employee but also in the industry in which the organisation is based and operates. Continuous research, done by a number of people has revealed that people who work in the secularized environment are at risk of indulging in activities and behaviors that would be harmful not only to the health of the employees but also to their social life. There is a need for integration between Christian values in work places and the labor force to basically help salvage the sinking employment industry and society in general.

People who uphold moral values on average are much willing to stand and speak against uncouth behavior. They are more dependable and reliable. Christians are called to stand out from the crowd and this is clearly shown by how excellent one is at doing an assigned role, regardless of the role, skills and position one holds in a company or organisation.

 

Additionally, Christian faith advocates for respect when it comes to treating not only other employees but also the employer and the customer whom one is handling.This is referred to as the golden rule of ethics. The rule states that ‘do unto others what you would love them do to you.’ Everyone deserves respect from other people. As a Christian, one is required to treat the other party with absolute respect.
